Roberto Giorgio & Giorgio Salieri

Blast from the past: Roberto Giorgio (from Hungary) and Giorgio Salieri (from the Czech Republic) were engaged to their girlfriends at the time. And yet they hit it off: both would openly admit to having discovered their ‘bi-sexual’ identity. Then again, why this obsession about ‘labels’? If there’s one thing I’ve learnt in the porn biz is that one’s sexuality isn’t just black and white. ‘nough said about the many web properties offering ‘straight’ dudes (broke, drunk, or simply… available). Hmm…

Video Piracy

The Free Speech Coalition uploaded this timely, informative PSA. It is, however, an uphill battle. Consider the first immediate, idiotic comments:

“I use linux OS’s all i know is free, and even if the big businesses go under, theres always amateur.” And: “How are people without credit cards supposed to get porn? Steal their parent’s credit card? Porn is a very important part of teenage development. Tube sites help that happen”. This is what we are up against: a whole new generation that believes porn ‘comes from tube sites’. Is everything online for free? What about these people’s online checking accounts? Are they free also? May I withdraw $$ as I please? And so the question stands: how do we change the public discourse @ copyright and piracy (without preaching to the choir)?

Happy birthday, Max Veneziano

Happy birthday Max. This muscle god made quite a splash back in 2001-2003: after an impressive solo debut in Maspalomas , he went on to star in Mykonos , Backstage and The Innkeeper. Kristen Bjorn took notice and signed him to an exclusive contract: Max was indeed the stereotypical Bjorn model: muscular, well endowed, confident –we couldn’t be happier. Too bad his porn career didn’t last long: more and more tattoos covered his body, from one picture to the next. He retired a few years later, but is sorely missed and is counted –to this very day– amongst our most popular models

XXX Castings: Jacopo

A look at Jacopo. This hunk, 28, hails from Rome and works as a stripper. Which explains his ‘relaxed’ attitude towards sexual orientation (Jacopo admits to being ‘straight’, but not ‘narrow’). Here at lucaskazan we’ve often exposed the hypocrisy of Italian culture (of most latin cultures, in fact): everyone defines himself as straight by day, everyone fools around with the boys (or the trannies) by night.

Philippe Delvaux

19… but not as innocent as he looks. Philippe takes his porn career seriously: he has already worked for several studios (both American and European) and amassed quite a library of videos. Yet his verve and enthusiasm remain untarnished.

Sicilian jock Luca M

Yes, Luca M is yet another hot Sicilian to land an audition. But the real news here isn’t Luca’s sausage: it’s the director behind it.
Stella’s directing debut is assured and promising: we’re thrilled to welcome her and look forward to many more of her castings. Cheers,

Sky TV about LucasKazan

“Business of Sex: Film Hard” debuted yesterday on Sky (Current TV). Directed by Alberto D’Onofrio and produced by Alessandra Ugolini for DNA Int./Sky, it’s a 30′ docu filmed this past October on the Ceglie Messapica set. Alberto and Alessandra spent a couple of days with cast/crew, went behind the scenes, interviewed Jean Franko, Jordan Fox, Alex Magnum, Federico D’Angelo, Ettore Tosi and yours truly. I haven’t seen the end result, but the filmmakers had agreed to stay clear of the many stereotypes and to seriously document our work. Have they lived up to their promise? Has their docu helped legitimize what we do (all the more in Italy)? Has it back fired, as many other docus before? Stay tuned…

Rough/Tender

Rough/Tender is (finally) out on DVD. My first directing credit after a long hiatus (one year and a half, in fact). There’s no question in my mind that the DVD market is at death’s door. Question is: how long will it stay alive? Likewise, I have no doubt that production values will be back in fashion –eventually. In the early 2000s, amateur porn felt fresh, different, more attuned to the web ‘revolution’. A new generation of consumers was brainwashed into equating amateur sex with ‘real’ sex. Big mistake: because ‘amateur’ sex is often no less staged and choreographed than the old studios’. Just poorly lit, –for the most part– conceived, blocked, edited…
